Did you just get a new phone? Congratulations! As part of the new phone setup process, don’t forget to transfer your Westside Access MFA to the new device.

This process has many steps but is straigtforward once you do it once.

If you’d rather have Westside Technology help you, please feel free to submit a help desk ticket and your building tech will reach out to you.

  1. Prior to beginning this process, be sure you have downloaded the Authenticator app on your new phone.
  2. To add your new phone for multi-factor authentication purposes, please visit this link: https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
  3. On this page, click on “+ Add sign-in method” located above your first authentication method, which is usually your phone number.
  4. When it prompts you to Add a Method, select “Authenticator app” and then click the blue “Add” button
  5. It will ask you if you have the Authenticator app downloaded, if you do, click “Next
  6. Click “Next” again, then a QR code should pop up on your screen.
  7. On your phone, in the Authenticator app, Click on the “+” button at the top right of the screen and select “Work or school“.
  8. Choose the option “Scan QR code” and your camera should open
  9. Using your camera, scan the QR code on your computer
  10. It will prompt a number code for you to test. If it is successful, you are all set! You can close out of everything after this step.
