Throughout the past couple of weeks we’ve sent out MANY emails pertaining to specific parts of the technology refresh. Technology Refresh Timeline and Procedures for Certified Staff and Administrators
We are at the point where we are able to publicize the procedures and timeline for the 2017 Technology Refresh. Please read the below carefully and complete the required steps.
End of Year Elementary Technology Procedures
As we conclude the 2016-17 school year there are a few housekeeping items that need to be completed on both your student’s iPads and your own. Please complete the steps (In order) before the end of the year.
Pre-Flight Procedures for Laptop Data Transfer
With the 2017 technology refresh, the new teacher MacBook Air’s will have a 128GB drive, compared to the 256GB drive that the current devices have. What does this mean for you? If you have a very full drive you will not be able to simply copy everything over. Click to learn more!
iPad Backup Procedures
Data backup is extremely important when using any device. This guide is designed to provide instructions on how to backup school files to Google Drive (teachers + students) and iCloud (teachers).

If you are interested in the laptops and iPads that we will soon be making available for purchase, please read the information below carefully.
Public Sale Information
Westside Community Schools will be offering iPad 4’s with Retina Display, 11″ MacBook Air laptops, and 3rd Generation Apple TV’s for sale to the public at Westside High School (8701 Pacific) from 9AM to 4PM on June 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. This does not happen every year, only when new devices will be purchased and brought in for use in the upcoming school year.
